If you’re unsure of how to take your measurements, this should help a little. You may want to recruit some help from a friend as it can be hard to do properly yourself.

Please realize that we need very accurate measurements to make sure that your garment fits exactly as you like it.  We will be working directly from the information you give me, and the clothing will be made precisely to those numbers. Therefore, if you do not want your clothing to be skin tight, take a loose measurement. We am depending wholly on you to give us good information.

Things you might want to take into account :

• General Measurements
  • Hip measurements, like the bust, should be taken around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Bust measurements should be taken around the fullest part of your chest
  • Measurements should be taken with no shoes on.

   

• Tops, Skirts, Dresses
  • Tops and some dresses require a strap length measurement. Pretend your measuring tape is the strap. Begin the measurement in front at approximately armpit height on your chest, and loosely extend it over your shoulder and place it right around your shoulder-blade in the back. That is your measurement.
  • My skirts and pants are designed to hang from the abdomen (generally just below the belly button) , not from your true waist. Therefore if you wish them to hang higher or lower, you will need to tell me.
  • Full length skirts and dresses are made to fall exactly to the floor with no shoes on. Some people like them shorter, so if you want a shorter hem (such as an ankle length) you need to provide me with the exact length that you want the skirt to be. Consider that the roundness of your hips will cause the skirt’s hem to hang just a bit higher.
  • Short dresses and skirts are made to fall to mid-calf.

   

• Pants and Shorts
  • Pants are made to fall exactly to the floor with no shoes on, so that they give you maximum length without dragging too much.
  • My pants are designed to hang from the abdomen (generally just below the belly button), not from your true waist. Therefore if you wish them to hang higher or lower, you will need to tell me.
  • Most people generally want their shorts to fall right about the knee.  If you wish them to be longer there may be additional charges.  Please supply the exact length from your waist that you wish them to be.

   

We cannot begin production of your custom clothing product until we have detailed information on measurements.  As soon as you have completed the order and received confirmation that the order has been entered, please complete this for for all clothing products ordered. Most important:
